Why I Started Landed London

The idea for Landed London came to me during my travels across Asia. I’ve always been drawn to the continent, I’ve worked in Seoul for a local property company, did lead generation work across India, motorbiked through the length of Vietnam, and made enough friendships and experiences to last a lifetime.

But as someone with an MSc in Real Estate, and as someone who genuinely loves London, I kept finding myself having the same conversations. People wanted to move here but had no idea how to navigate the process as a foreigner. Others had friends or family already here struggling with housing, paperwork, or simply understanding how everything works. Professional help was often expensive, and while there are great organisations like Shelter and Citizens Advice, they understandably aren’t built specifically around the experience of moving to London from abroad.

While sitting on a rooftop in the cold north of Punjab, India, the idea finally clicked: create a consultancy that offers practical, honest guidance at a fair rate for people trying to build a life in London.

From that point on, I started researching, planning, and building what eventually became Landed London.

For now, my travels are over, at least for a while. These days my focus is on helping people settle into London properly, with the kind of guidance I wish more newcomers had access to in the first place.
